Relying upon fee earners to produce content usually means it is only produced irregularly (if at all) and takes them away from time that could be spent on files
Time is money.
In a solicitors practice, clients are buying time and the expertise of the fee earners within that time. Time spent by fee earners on preparing news articles for your website, is time that could be spent working on files, business development or management. The cost for your staff to source, write and review an article, is much more than what I charge. Whilst undoubtedly, producing regular content for your site is something that could be done in house, it is more cost effective for me to take care of it for you.
Even if fee earners are willing and able to prepare articles, motivation for regular posts can be high at the start but often deteriorates and extinguishes completely, very quickly. Having to chase staff for articles is never fun and nor can the quality of their drafting be relied upon when the task is a chore to them.
